Fabulous 2 Sided Burl Sculpture
Maarten is showing his creativity sculpting this fabulous 2 sided burl sculpture. These two unique wood sculptures are made from one amazing large burl that was part a ‘Vancouver Island Red Cedar’. Watch the video of Maarten rotating the sculpture on it’s base, showing us the Dolphins on one side and then the Eagles on the other side of this magnificent work of art.

The whales tails sculptures are another example of Maarten’s creative vision, sculpting elements of the natural world. The various whale tail sculptures can be any size from small, 20 CM in height to colossal sculptures nearly 3 Meters tall. One of Maarten’s Public Art Installations is a stylized marble whale’s tail at Upper Harbour Place, Tyee Rd. Maarten’s collections stone sculptures and wood sculptures are breathtaking.
