Inspirational Sculptors!Garry Curry, president of the Vancouver Island Society of Disabled Artists was originally inspired to sculpt through watching Roger's cable video on television of Maarten sculpting his first marble sculpture 'My Brother and Sister' the white Carrara marble beluga whales. Garry has gone on to be an amazing sculptor in stone and has inspired many more artists. Robin is one of his students. |

A bicycle built for two and a beautiful love storyPeter had fallen in love with the 'Here After' Vancouver Island Yellow Cedar Dove sculpture on Vancouver Island Marble at the beginning of the show. He brought his beloved wife Lorna back to share it. Lorna is legally blind, she caressed every sculpture. That is the gift of three dimensional sculpture....you can see it first through touch. We encourage the young of all ages to get in touch. |
